Introducing Miller Thomson LLP
Miller Thomson LLP announced as presenting partner of the Gathering of Alberta Co-operatives
Edmonton, Alberta, 27 July 2018
The Alberta Community and Cooperative Association (ACCA), the voice for co-operatives and credit unions in the province, are delighted to announce Miller Thomson LLP as a presenting partner of the 2018 Gathering of Alberta Co-operatives.
The Gathering is the definitive event for Alberta co-operatives and credit unions, who will come together in October to Grow, Share and Lead the sector. The two-day conference attracts approximately 100 of the best and brightest co-operative minds and leaders who will hear from distinguished experts on areas including government, community investment and consumer loyalty programs.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Miller Thomson LLP as Champion Sponsor to the Gathering of Alberta Cooperatives,” said Michele Aasgard, Executive Director ACCA. “Through early conversations with Brian, it is clear that they are strong supporters of incorporating new co-operatives and I am thrilled that they will help delegates understand the business opportunities that come with the October 17 legalization of cannabis across Canada”.
“It is our honor to support the ACCA and present their annual conference” said Brian Kaliel QC, Partner, Miller Thomson Edmonton. “We look forward to collaborating and helping the sector achieve meaningful growth as co-operatives are an important part of the Alberta economy.”
As part of the agreement, the full-service law firm will co-create blog content and the Miller Thomson brand will be visible during both days of the conference, as well as on social media and other brand spaces.
